RELEASE: 1.9.7 [FINAL DEMO UPDATE] has been released!


The final demo update is upon us! Thank you everyone for being so patient during the constant rescheduling and restructuring. It has been an extremely awesome experience, working on this both for myself and for all of you.

This project has been taking a LONG time, but I'm happy to say that we're on the right path forward. Not much longer until we see the next version of this game, the Early Access build.

In the meantime, please enjoy the latest updated version of the Aurum Demo, the Final Aurum Demo, fixing nearly all the bugs, and definitely fixing ALL the crashes, as well as adding a BUNCH of new scenes, new lore, continued hints at the bigger story, and a bunch of other fun things. Can't wait to see what you guys think!

WHAT'S NEW:
  • - Multiple new cutscenes.
  • - Added a location-based guest party member system.
  • - Updated an old shop, including back room, door to the other side of the street, etc.
  • - New item drop points.
  • - Added a WIP location, Luxerion.
  • - Added a taxi to Otnemarcas.
  • - Added in Niji's sidequest.
  • - Updated battlebacks.
  • - More dialogue.
  • - New NPCs.
  • - More main characters.

  • - Reworked Healing Water, as well as healing water in dungeons.

  • - Added the ability to "turn off" the radio in the Brimstone bar.
  • - New shop backgrounds.

  • - Updated lighting/shading.
  • - Damage output tweaks.
  • - Enemy stat tweaks.
  • - Enemy skill tweaks.
  • - Party member skill tweaks, including new math code for Reverse.
  • - Added a base bone code for Lottery system.
  • - Updated font size for biography section.
  • - Double-checked and altered an uncountable amount of dialogue boxes as well as system boxes for text that was "falling off".
  • - Added in a new script to create custom menus for Key Item calls.
  • - Added in elemental absorption features.
  • - Increased text flavor. Mmm.
  • - Tweaked state effects.
  • - Added new Blitz Commands in the coding.
  • - Changed the size of the Battle Log.
  • - Deleted unused maps, added new ones.
  • - An uncountable amount of bugs have been fixed, as well as crashes. (check the Trello page for more information.)

For anyone interested in the DEEP amount of progress and definition to all the bug fixes, new items, etc, please make your way over to the Trello page, where all information is updated in real time as they are implemented in the actual game itself.

In the meantime, I can't wait to see if anyone out there would like to theorize and craft ideas of just how the story is going to go, plus, to the hackers and the game searchers who look through the files, I'm sure you'll have just as much fun. (Remember, the game is not encrypted, so you could have access to really a bunch of things, if you think about it.)

As of this game demo update, I will be taking a week or two off of game development completely, to get a bit of rest and focus on the other things in life until I'm rested mentally.
